ELF Haul & Review ♥

Hello again, i hope you are all well. :)

A month or so ago i did an ELF haul but at the time i was taking a break from my blog so I'm going to show you what i got and also give a mini review of the things that i got.

Left to right: ELF Nail Polish in Coral, ELF Mineral Lipstick in Natural Nymph, ELF Mineral Lipstick in Runway Pink.

I really love ELF lipsticks, they're so creamy and don't feel drying on the lips at all however i can't say i like the nail polish all that much its very glupey and doesn't seem to dry fully and I'm far too impatient when it comes to waiting for nail polish to dry i like it to dry fairly fast and this one just doesn't, even if i sat for an hour waiting for it to dry i still feel like it would be squishy to the touch. Maybe its just this particular one but i don't think I'll be buying any more ELF nail polishes.

Top: The Beauty Encyclopedia Sparkle Eyes Edition. Bottom: The Beauty Encyclopedia Everyday Eyes Edition.

I feel like there are some really good dupes in these palettes for some Urban Decay Shadows but they obviously aren't as good quality as Urban Decay, I find the shadows to have a somewhat decent colour pay off but they are quite powdery and you do get a bit of fallout. These palettes are great for everyday use and great for people who are on a budget although the cream eye shadows in these palettes tend to crease like crazy and I'm not a big fan of the eyeliners that come with the palettes either.

Makeup Collection - Eyeshadow ♥

I feel like i haven't blogged in ages! I'm here to show you my makeup collection, starting with my eye shadows. I will do more posts like this showing you the rest of my collection, i just have too much to fit my whole collection into one post. I think this is a good idea so that you can view my whole collection (because we all know that's fun, and we all like to have a nosey. I know i do!) and you can also see everything that i own and pick out things that maybe you'd want a review on.

Onto the collection:

From left to right: Urban Decay Deluxe Palette, Urban Decay Ammo Palette, Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume 2. (I've already done reviews for these three palettes)

Left: Sleek Original Palette, Rimmel Duo in 421 Desert. Middle: Beauty UK Palette's in 4 and 1. Right: Clinique Quad in Plum Seduction, Gosh Quad in Grand Passion, Rimmel Trio in 730 Spices.

Left to Right: My only MAC Eyeshadow in Gleam, Too Faced Duos in Lovey Dovey, Bon Bon, George & Weezie, Poodle Puff, and Fantasy Island.

What would you like to see next in my collection? Lipsticks, lip glosses, blushes?

A Very Mini Haul ♥

I've been meaning to try the Gosh Eye Shadows for a while now, so i dropped into Superdrug this morning and picked this one up along with a Collection 2000 2 in 1 Nail Strengthener and Hardener to get my nails in better condition.

The Gosh Eye Shadow is Q 48 Grand Passion and has a light green, a pink, a light bronzey brown, and a darker brown, and all have a bit of shimmer. It looks like a very good quad for creating a neutral eye with a bit of a pop of colour.

Can't wait to try this out, the colours seem to be quite pigmented which is more than i can say for the Rimmel eye shadow that i bought the other day!

Colours ♥

When it comes to choosing colours for your eyeshadow do you ever have a problem? I have really pale skin and sometimes darker shades look a bit too much on me, even if I'm going for a brown neutral everyday look if i use a brown that is too dark it can look too much on me. I also have a problem with black eyeshadow i can't for the life of me make it look good on me!

Don't get me wrong though i love to use bold bright colours like greens and purples, etc.. I think these look best on me but when it comes to colours like dark browns and black i think i tend to look muddy, or like i have a black eye or something.

What are your favourite colours to use on your eyes, and do you have any suggestions as to what would look best on a pale person like me?

Urban Decay Ammo Palette ♥

This is going to be a review on the Urban Decay Ammo Palette. I know you've probably all seen this before but i love this palette! So let me start off by saying that if you do not like eye shadows that contain a lot of glitter and shimmer this palette is not for you as some of the shadows do have quite large chunky glitters in them but personally i don't mind it.

I personally think that this palette is very easy to use, each colour has a matching pair and you could quite easily match one of the top colours with the colour below it, my favourite combination for a neutral eye is Sin all over the lid paired with Chopper in the crease and outer corner.
The colours are very pigmented and very easy to work with and blend, you do get a little bit of fall out from the glitter, especially i find from Maui Wowie, but i find it brushes away easily using a big fluffy brush to dust it off, and doesn't end up stuck all over your face making you look like a glitter monster.

This is the first palette that i have tried from Urban Decay and i like it very much, i wouldn't say it was for everyday use unless your going for a very shimmery look, it is probably more suited for going out looks.

If anyone has any suggestions to which palette i can try next from Urban Decay please leave a comment.

Too Faced Eyeshadow Duo Swatches ♥

Hello my dears, i figured i would do some swatches of my Too faced eyeshadow duos because i love them so much! :)

In order from left to right: The first two are Poodle Puff, the next two are Lovey Dovey, next two are Bon Bon, next two are George & Weezie, and the last two are Fantasy Island.

I adore these eye shadows they all have a nice soft texture, blend really easily and are also nicely pigmented. Another good thing about these duo eye shadows is that the two colours complement each other nicely so you never have to worry which eye shadows to pair up when your in a rush as you can always pick one of these up and know that they'll look good together. They are quite shimmery, but not in a huge chunky glitter kind of way, i haven't had much trouble with fall out especially using the Too Faced First Base eyeshadow base they stick nicely to it, the base also has a glittery sheen to it which really makes the shimmer in these eye shadows stand out whilst making the colour pop but it does tend to crease a little bit so i would recommend using Urban Decay Primer Potion underneath it (or any other eye primer that you have).
