Mini Drugstore Haul ♥

I went shopping on Monday because i was having a crappy day and was i need of a little retail therapy.

My first stop was Boots and i picked up the Soap & Glory Super Eyes Super Eyes because mine ran out, and whilst i was looking at the Soap & Glory stand i saw the Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser which comes with a muslin cloth. I've never tried a muslin cloth before so i thought i would pick this up and give it a go and so far I'm really liking it and will definitely be buying more muslin cloths! I just have one question about the Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser, am i supposed to put this on my face when my face is wet or dry? I've tried both and either seems to work well.

My next stop was Superdrug and i picked up the Sleek Storm Palette which I've wanted for a while now but the last time i went into a Superdrug that sold Sleek they didn't have it. I wish my local Superdrug would stock Sleek. :(

Soap & Glory Super Eyes ♥

I've been using this for a while now so i think its time that i did a review!

Soap & Glory Super Eyes, Super Eyes Moisturising Eye Gel. Don't squint into the wind. In fact avoid any sort of squinting. It's unflattering, causes wrinkles, and can sully your mascara.

Includes depuffing caffeine, pro-vitamin panthenol, & soothing aloe vera juice.

Moist your eyes, and while you're at it, tighten them up too. Pat a layer of Super Eyes, Super Eyes around the contour of your eyes every morning and/or evening - whenever you feel like you need a little lift.

I have very sensitive eyes and my eyes tend to water quite a bit, especially when I'm outside in the wind and since I've been using Super Eyes it has really seemed to make a big difference in how much my eyes water, they don't water half as much as they used to. The consistency of this is like a gel and it goes onto the skin very smoothly and you can really feel that the skin around your eyes feels softer and tightened up. It really helps with puffy tired eyes in a morning but I'm not sure if it has made the circles around my eyes any less dark, or helped with any wrinkles around my eyes, i don't have many wrinkles so its hard for me to tell.

I would definitely re-purchase this though just for the fact that it really helps with my sensitive eyes, it's really annoying when you've done your makeup and then go outside on a windy day and your makeup gets ruined because your eyes are watering, its not a good look!

Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It Review ♥

I've been meaning to do a review on this for a while now, so here it finally is.

At last - a simple solution for large pores and clogging, and you can just scrub your nose in it.
A multi-tasking scrub and marvel!
Helps refine large pores and prevent blemishes.
Special fruit-acid formula leaves skin looking brighter & more radiant.

What it says on the back:

The fab pore: Apply a pea-sized dollop of scrub your nose in it to a damp t-zone. (That's your nose, chin, and forehead.) Massage gently in circular motions, then extend out to the less clogged places on your face. Rinse well and follow with moisturiser.

Bonus! Pore purifying clay mask built in. Just leave a thin layer on skin 3 minutes longer for an oil absorbing, brightening, pore cleaning mask!

Personally i prefer to use this as a mask because i find that when i use it as a scrub it can be quite harsh on your skin, the consistency of it is very fine and sand like and it can actually hurt if your not gentle.

What i like to do is apply it to my face while its damp, let it dry into a clay mask for about 20 minutes, i don't know why they tell you to leave it on for just 3 minutes when using it as a mask because it takes longer than 3 minutes to dry. Once its dry i splash my face with water and gently massage in circular motions to use the scrub part of it and then rinse it off. I find that it seems to be less harsh when you let it dry first for some reason?

Overall I'd say this is a good product but I'm not sure if i will be re-purchasing it.

Soap & Glory Review ♥

I've been saying on Twitter that I'm going to review these for a while now, and I've finally got around to it! :) Yay!

I'm going to start with the Heel Genius because this is my favourite of the two:

"Feet should be friendly. Soft. Smooth. Even lovely to look at. Massage a generous layer of Heel Genius onto clean feet every night (or at least as often as you remember). Slip cotton socks overtop and let it soak while you sleep."

When i first got this i applied it every night for about a week, and i can say that it has made my feet really soft, and i think with using this and something like a ped egg or a pumice stone you can keep your feet in really good condition. I never really had a foot routine before using this (i just used my ped egg every now and then) but i think I'll definitely be buying this again! The product itself is a blue almost gel like cream and when applied it gives a cooling feel to your feet. And when it says apply generously you don't really need to use a lot, i squeeze out about 2 blobs onto the end of my finger one blob for the front of my foot, and one blob for my heel, and i still have product left over on my hands after rubbing it in. As for the smell, I'd say it has a fruity smell to it with a hint of menthol, its quite a nice smell actually.

Now onto the Hand Food:

"Apply Hand Food hand cream as often as you want to soften, smooth and soothe dry, chapped, or otherwise hampered hands."

I have been trying to apply this as often as i can, when i remember to after washing my hands anyway. It claims that its a "non-greasy hydrating hand cream with shea butter, macadamia oil & marshmallow". It is definitely non-greasy, it sinks right into your hands and leaves them feeling like you never applied it, apart from a lovely soft feeling. Overall though I'm not sure if my hands are any less dryer than they were before, i think i would say they are but i don't really pay too much attention to my hands, its not a drastic difference or i think i would have noticed. I'm not sure i would buy the full size of this again, but they do make a cute handbag sized one that i might consider buying to throw in my bag whilst I'm out in the cold but I'm sure this one is going to last me ages yet. As for the smell of this one, I'm not exactly sure what it smells of.. It's quite nice though, not over powering at all.

I'm going to do a separate review for the Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It because i don't feel I've used it enough yet to do a review (i still haven't tried it as a face mask, which i need to do) but i hope this helped any of you looking to try some of the Soap & Glory products!

Soap & Glory & Mini Haul ♥

I decided to brave the bad weather this morning and went into town. I was on the hunt for Soap & Glory Heel Genius after reading a review on it at Phoebe's blog Peluxe, but once i got to town and into Boots and started looking at the Soap & Glory products i realised that they were buy 2 get 1 free and i just couldn't help myself and ended up with 3 things! So firstly i picked up the Heel Genius (read Phoebe's review on it here, why is her packaging blue and mine pink?), i then picked up the Hand Food hand cream as now its winter my hands are starting to feel a little dry and it claims that it's the most astonishing hand cream ever.. We shall see, but I'm really liking it so far. I also picked up Scrub Your Nose In It which is a face scrub that claims to refine large pores and prevent blemishes, and can also be used as a face mask, so I'm very excited to try this out!

Next stop was Superdrug, i just went in to have a look around and saw that the BarryM Nail Paints were buy 2 for £5 so i picked up 2 of those in 304 Mint Green, and 303 Bright Purple. I also picked up a Maybelline Define a Lash Volume (love the bright pink packaging!) I'm still on the look out for a cheaper mascara that's just as good as the Max Factor False Lash Effect although i think with all the mascaras that I'm buying i might as well just have bought the False Lash Effect again.

On other news, we're finally moved into our new house! Yay! ^_^ Just waiting for our phone number to transfer over and to get proper broadband back now.
