Foundation Help ♥

I need your help girls!

I'm really not liking any of my foundations right now! :( I find that my Max Factor Lasting Performance seems a little too dark for me and the Revlon Colourstay I'm not sure what it is about this but I'm not really liking it too much, i think it may be causing me to break out again. I think that both of these foundations make me look too pink. Well yes, my face is kind of pink but then when I've applied my foundation i look at my face compared to my neck and the rest of me seems more of a yellow undertone.

So what I'm trying to ask you ladies is if you have any foundation advice for me. I'm super pale, I'm 100 Fair in the Max Factor foundation which i think is a little too dark for me and 110 Ivory in the Revlon which i think is a better match if only it wasn't so pink. I want a foundation that is as long lasting as the Revlon Colourstay, a foundation that won't break me out and a foundation that suits my skin tone better and i want it at a drugstore price, i find that i go through foundation too quickly to be buying a high end foundation every few months and i just don't have the money to do that.

Any suggestions? I find it so hard to find a foundation that i really like and suits me at the same time with me being so pale, when it comes to drugstore foundations i think they tend to leave out the super pale and more darker ladies and focus more somewhere in the middle.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reading, commenting, and following! :)
Charlotte. xx

Sleek do quite pale foundations from what I have heard. I haven't tried them myself but always hear good things about them. The last time I looked they had an offer on where you buy a foundation and the Luminous Pressed Powder for £11! :)
Hope you find one that suits you chick!

My fave drug store foundation at the moment is L'Oreal True Match. I'm really pale and I get it in N1 which is the palest Neutral but it comes in warm and cool too.

hello! :) Sorry to be a pain, as i know you mentioned you can't afford high end foundations, however their prices have quite a big range, e.g. clinique foundations are normally £19, whereas Dior can go as high as £30.
Also have you tried wearing a foundation primer under your foundation? you don't wear as much, and don't have to re-touch as it stays put all day. These are all investment items, and I completely understand they cost quite a lot, but I always found drugstore foundations made my skin a lot worse, so i was using more and more. You could always buy drugstore eyeshadow etc, to save on the cost of a more expensive foundation.

IF you want to go for higher end, good MA's will match you at the store, and always ask to go outside and look for yourself, as the light in places like boots arn't good for showing the wrong colour.

Clinique superfit foundation (£19) is really really good, the bottle is small, and i'm about 2/3's the way down after 6 months of wearing it quite a lot.
Revlon Colourstay's rival - Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation is around £24, and it's known for its long staying power.

However because sometimes money can't stretch, which I totally understand, drugstore foundations which I have used are the body shop flawless perfecting foundation, which is a cream to powder foundation, and this is one of few the items i've hit pan on, its that nice.

Hope that helps, :)

Thanks for the advice greystrawberrys, i've always wanted to try the Clinique superfit foundation but i also have the problem of living in a small town and don't have access to high end brands without ordering online which obviously isn't a very good idea without being colour matched first. :( xx

Hello! :) That proper sucks, its also a pain when department stores don't stock certain brands etc. Its a bit of a gamble when ordering online. You could email them I guess and ask if you could send it back if it's the wrong match? I know in the US they can send back make up, but here its a bit funny. I'm normally really easy to tell - pale pale pale, but higher end brands get tricker, as they cater for more skintones, especially different tones of pale! lol.

Hope everything goes well! :) MAC's foundation's are also around the same price as clinique, however a lot of people have problems with mac foundations; that they are orangery and show up dry patches however I havn't tried mac foundations before!
